Angelo Baljko

April 15, 1927 - February 6, 2026

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Angelo Baljko who passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 in London, at the age of 99. Angelo was the cherished patriarch of his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law: Raymond and Rosa, Steve and Denise; his grandchildren and their spouses: Melanie, Vassilios, Christine, Jeffrey, Anita, Matthew, Laura, Mike, and Aaron; and his great-grandchildren: Josh, Ethan, Leo, Erma, Adam, Sophie, and Max; as well as by extended family and friends. Angelo and his late wife, Rajka (Lonić), worked to establish their family in London, Ontario, after an arduous post-WW II immigrant journey marked by hard work and uncertainty from what was then the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. His many return visits ‘home’ to his birth village of Kukljica, Croatia were very important to him. Angelo was known for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his excellent home-made wine, his amazing green thumb, and his cooking prowess. We will all miss his steady presence in our lives. There will be a private funeral service to celebrate Angelo’s life. Memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation would be greatly acknowledged by the family.
