Anita Marcoccia

February 10, 2026

Anita Marcoccia, age 94, of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 31, 1931, in Ceprano, Italy, Anita later made her home in Canada, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Anita was the beloved wife of the late Francesco Marcoccia, with whom she is now reunited in Heaven. She was a cherished mother to Angie Rea (Guido), Terry (beloved late wife Emily)(partner Jackie), and Lori (George), and a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Nonnina to us, Nonna to all who were blessed to know her, Anita was the heart of her family. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion will be remembered forever. She lived a life rooted in love, generosity, and quiet grace, leaving a legacy that will continue through generations.

Visitation will be held on February 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Northview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, where the funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Entombment at St. Peter’s Cemetery and Holy Family Mausoleum, London to follow. Memorial donations to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.

I hold in my heart every beautiful word you ever spoke to me; they have become a quiet light guiding me each day. I know we had a very special bond, one that I will cherish forever. I miss our phone calls, the comfort of your voice, and the love that flowed so naturally from your heart. I regret not having had the chance to say goodbye to you. I was hoping you would come to Italy for one last trip to see us, but instead I received the unexpected news of your departure to heaven. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your kindness, your faith, and your spirit continue to live on within us. Give a gentle kiss and a warm hello to Nonna Annetta for me, and also to Nonno Eleuterio. Life on this earth is so short, and time passes so quickly. It never feels like enough time to share all the moments and precious time we wish we could have had together. Until we meet again, you remain forever in my heart. Your “special nephew,” as you used to call me, Angelo ❤️

So many beautiful memories! Always supportive, loving and welcoming to everyone! Your energy and smile will be missed here on earth, but your beautiful soul will rejoice with all the loved ones who have gone before you! May God send strength and courage to all who feel your loss!

Nini, you were the grandmother I never had as mine were gone too soon and I never felt as though I was lacking because of you. You helped raise my two best friends (Danielle and Leah) and for that I am forever grateful. I will always remember New Years Eves spent with you, your cooking and the way you loved Denver and I as if we were your own grand babies. You’re beyond loved by your big beautiful family. Love you, rest in the sweetest peace.

~ Lauren Wong

Our sincere condolences to Lori & her family. May she rest in sweet peace.
