Gabriel Allen

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Gabriel Matthew Allen.

From the moment he was born, Gabriel was a fighter. Having endured 4 open heart surgeries and countless medical procedures and specialist appointments, the amount of strength Gabriel possessed in his young soul was awe inspiring. When Gabriel entered a room, it glowed with his presence. He lived life with an infectious happiness, and a no-quit attitude. He had the incredible ability to make anyone he came in contact with feel unconditionally loved.

Although his spirit was strong enough to lift mountains, his young body was so tired. He fought so hard for so long through so many medical journeys, and when he could no longer endure anymore pain, he passed away with his loving mother by his side.

Gabriel’s passing has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled. He will be horribly missed by his loving parents, Alex and Karolina, his brother George, his half-brother Adrian, his grandparents Sandy, George Allen, and Danuta Czechowska (née Galla), his great-grandfather Witaliusz Galla, his great aunt and uncle Mariola and Chester, his aunts Shawnna and Shannon (Tom), his uncle Kamil, his cousins Zoe and Jacob, and so many more lives that he came in contact with and touched deeply.

His family would like to thank the wonderful staff at SickKids and the Victoria Children’s Hospital, who gave everything they had to give Gabriel the best quality of life they could. They would also like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, who made it possible to be with Gabriel at his most vulnerable moments.

The funeral mass was held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Holy Trinity Church, 1035 Ellis Street East, Windsor, Ontario, at 12:00 p.m.

A celebration of life followed at the Polish Home, 1275 Langlois Avenue, Windsor, Ontario.
