Janine Sarchielli (née Moloney)

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Janine Sarchielli (née Moloney), age 63, of London, Ontario, on June 17, 2026, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Janine was born on October 3, 1962, in Edmonton, Alberta, to her beloved parents, Doreen Patricia “Pat” Moloney (née Tye) and Bernard “Bernie” Moloney. She spent her childhood in Bright’s Grove and Petrolia, Ontario, before later making London, Ontario, her home.

In 1984, Janine married her best friend, Vincent Sarchielli. Together they built a loving family and raised two children, Rachel Sarchielli (Matthew) and Chris Sarchielli (Laura).

Janine embraced life fully and found joy in hosting gatherings for family, friends, and neighbours, travelling throughout Europe, and taking long walks. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Beatrice and Harrison, who brought immense happiness to her life.

Janine will be remembered for her remarkable strength, her warmth and ability to make others feel valued, and her enduring zest for life. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Leslie Chekan (Richard) and Michael Moloney (Kim), as well as by her extended family and many dear friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.

A celebration of Janine’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Northview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, located at 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre or St. Joseph’s Hospice of London in Janine’s memory.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Parkwood Institute of St. Joseph’s Healthcare London, and the Oncology team of London Health Sciences Centre.

Janine’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
