John Ferreira

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Ferreira, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 3, 2026, following a brief illness.

John will be dearly missed by his wife Sharon; his children James Ferreira (Dianne Mosburger) and Jen Thompson (Chuck). Dear grandfather to Emma Thompson, who is the light of his life. He leaves behind his faithful beagle Smokey and his beloved grand dog Rocky who brought him so much joy and companionship.

John will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love he shared with others. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His loving family and friends, will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and love they shared with him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and the impact he made will remain in our hearts forever.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. A special thank you to the staff at Victoria Hospital (emergency and 5^th floor departments) for their compassionate care.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 6:00 p.m.
