Meryl Ann McEachnie

October 23, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Meryl Ann McEachnie, who passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 23, 2026, on her 56th wedding anniversary.

Family was at the heart of Meryl’s life. She was a loving wife, mother, and affectionately known as Nana. She adored her grandchildren, Sophie, Callie, and Owen, who brought so much joy to her life. She treasured her trips out west to visit her son John and his family and especially loved watching Owen play hockey. Meryl also enjoyed the simple pleasures of spending time with those she loved, including a night out at the casino with her loving husband, Jack.

Meryl will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, John (Jack) McEachnie. She was a devoted mother to her three children: daughter Robin Clark (husband Rob), son John McEachnie (wife Stephanie), and son Jason McEachnie (wife Ashley). She was a proud Nana to Robin and Rob’s daughters, Sophie and Callie, and John and Stephanie’s son, Owen. She also shared a special bond with Finn, Jason and Ashley’s dog, whom Nana lovingly claimed as her own.

Above all, Meryl’s greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, she will live on in the memories, stories, and hearts of those who loved her.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering has been held to honour Meryl’s life and share cherished memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Meryl’s memory to Stevenson Children’s Camp.
