Ana “Emilia” Luis

It is with heavy hearts and immense gratitude for the time that we were blessed to have her with us, we share the passing of Ana Emilia Luis in her 91st year.  She passed peacefully on March 18, 2026.  Emilia left this world as she lived it:  faith-filled, humbly and surrounded by those who loved her most.

Beloved wife of the late Joao Luis and loving mother of Tina Luis, Helen Bobyk (Duane) and predeceased by her two sons: John Luis and Joe Luis (Rita).

Much loved Nana/Vovo to: Jennifer, Joel (Katie), Rachel (Devon), Andrea (Alex), Christopher, Emilia and great grandchildren Clara, Portia, Brayden, Matthew, Jonah, Dane, Harper, Charlie and Neve.

Dear sister of Antero, Joaquim, Sofia, Joao, Libano, Alipio, Americo, Lucilia and Fatima all of whom will welcome her into heaven.  Predeceased by two siblings who died in infancy.  Also loved and cherished by her many family and friends.

Emilia will be remembered as a woman of strength, bravery and unwavering devotion to her family. She changed many lives with her kindness by sponsoring to bring many family members to Canada from Portugal.  May we find comfort in the loving memories we share with her knowing she will forever remain in our hearts.

Visitation will take place at Northview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Chapel at Windermere on the Mount, 1468 Richmond Street, London on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 806 Victoria Street, London. Reception at Northview Funeral Home to follow the interment.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Emilia are asked to consider The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
