Antony “Tony” Busch

October 5, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Tony Busch at the age of 68. Tony left us peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Tony was predeceased by his parents Anton (Peggy) and Aurelia. Tony was the devoted father of Amanda and David (Robbie) and proud “Papa” of his granddaughter Aurelia. He was the loving partner of Sherry Robinson (son Brendon) and “baby brother” of Lisa (Bryant) and Christine (Inniss). Uncle Tony will also be forever missed by Dan, Jason (Hanna), Toni, Morgan (Marshall) and their families. He also shared a great bond with many life-long friends including his best friend Brad who will all remember his warmth and humour.

Tony was the light in every room he entered and will always be remembered for his big smile. He wouldn’t rest until you had a drink or food in your hand and you had heard his latest story.

As your father, brother, grandpa, uncle, boss or friend, Tony was always willing to offer help, advice or support whenever he could. From the many stores he managed during his long and distinguished career with Loblaws, to the golf courses or the cruise line buffet, Tony managed to touch the hearts of everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Tony’s wish was to be an organ donor. His selfless gift has already saved a life.

We would like to thank the entire staff of the MSICU unit and the Trillium Gift of Life Team at L.H.S.C. for the exceptional care and support they gave to Tony and his family.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of His Life will be held at Northview Funeral Home, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tony will be laid to rest with his dear mother who passed away on April 7th of this year.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Tony’s name to a charity of your choice.

I feel a great privilege to have known Tony, as a truly lovely neighbour. Although it had only been a year since Tony and Sherry moved beside me I was blessed to have met Tony. Always with a smile, a have a good day, a quick wave on his way to play golf, pick up groceries, doughnuts for a treat, building materials or on his daily walks with Sherry and their three adorable pugs. Your spirit and kindness will be truly missed in our neighborhood, Tony. I will be thinking of your kind smile whenever I see your Canadian flag proudly waving in our backyards.
