Delroy A. Douglas
December 19, 1978 - August 23, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Delroy Douglas on August 23rd, 2026, in London, Ontario, Canada. Delroy possessed a rare and fearless spirit for empathy, navigating a complex life journey with a heart that sought to understand others even when the world struggled to understand him.
Delroy was born in Jamaica, Clarendon, to his loving parents, Dennis Douglas (deceased) and Valdalyn McKay. As a young man, he showed immense determination and drive to better himself. After attending Wheable Adult Education to earn his high school diploma, he enrolled at Fanshawe College to continue learning Construction Engineering Management.
A natural entrepreneur with an eye for business and style, Delroy was a proud owner of Hotta Fire Hotta Clothes and also Unique Construction Renovations Company. He enjoyed creating music with Hottafire Crew! He was a provider who put his energy into building a future for those he loved.
Delroy’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a dedicated, caring best friend to me and a fiercely proud and devoted father to his children Maliki, Jamicia, Novahji, and Zion. He loved nothing more than being around his children, friends, playing or watching basketball, making and listening to music.
Delroy is survived by his forever lifetime best friend, Cassandra Cornwall-Douglas; his children; his beloved mother, Valdalyn; and ALL his siblings. He will be deeply missed by his former in-laws, Christopher Cornwall and Lynda Shadd, as well as many extended family members and friends in Canada, Jamaica, and the United States.
Though he faced difficult, complex life struggles, his family chooses to remember the vibrant, hardworking, and loving man he truly was.
One Love, Cornwall – Douglas family.
Celebration of Life arrangements will be announced on Facebook (social media) and on this website.
