Don was a quiet neighbour but always had a kind word for us. Carol and Don would talk about books. We could set our watches by him going out for groceries or dinner. It was a pleasure to have known him and he will be missed around the building. You are at peace now Don. Rest well. Our condolences to your family. Nancy and Carol Fortner

We met Don about 20 years ago. He was a quiet, gentle man, but loved it when Ross would tease him about a girlfriend! Always enjoyed our chats in the backyard or in the parking lot and we will miss that. We always saw him heading out around 5 in the evening to pick up groceries or etc.! Our condolences to his family. Thank-you for keeping us informed on his hospital stay. We've lost a good friend and neighbor.

Don lived in my apartment building and really enjoyed talking sports. His love for the Toronto Blue Jay's and his, well yuck, Montreal Canadians! Lol I'm a Leaf's fan, so the ribbing and rivalry was strong. We talked often, and each time, it related to sports. He was a quiet man, kept to himself, but when I engaged in our sports, he never took a breath! I will miss him and his smile. He loved his fish sandwiches at Kipps Lane Fish and Chips as well. He loved sitting out back listening to the Jay's games and soaking in the sun. The building went a little quieter and I'll be thinking of him when I see the Hab's score at night. I will be an honorary Hab's fan for him down here and yes Don, you'll still hear my Budweiser horn up in heaven! Love you Mr Don. RIP ❤️
