Doris Gertrude Shoebottom (née Johnson)

At Kensington Village Retirement Home on Saturday, February 17, 2024, Doris (Johnson) Shoebottom of London and formerly of Centralia and Parry Sound, passed away in her 100th year.  Wife of the late Ray Shoebottom (2006).  Loving Mom of Ann Ryan (Ron) of Springbrook, Ontario, Danny Shoebottom (the late Wendy) of Parry Sound, Mary Shoebottom of London, and the late Richard Shoebottom (2014).  Dear sister of Verne Johnson (the late Betty) of London and predeceased by her siblings: Frank, Roy (Madeline), Louise (Harry Phillips), Alan, Don, and Bill (Betty).  Survived also by Alan’s wife Kathy, and Don’s wife Ilene. Survived by Ray’s brother Robert (Joyce). Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Gordon (Bernice), Leonard (Dorothy), Ron (Jean), and Willard (Helen) (Suzie).  Dear grandmother to Bradley Shoebottom (Lesley), Lori Horner (Jerry), Christine Shoebottom (Dave Kopec), George Shoebottom (Tammy), Scott Thomas (Jan), great-grandmother to 10, and great great-grandmother to 11.

The funeral service will be conducted from Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation two hours prior.

Interment at Siloam Cemetery.

Our deepest sympathy to all the Shoebottom family. We will remember her care and interest in others. Doris was a long time friend to those in the Centralia United church.
