Eileen Anne Roberts (née Dowd)

It’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to Eileen Anne Roberts (née Dowd) who passed away suddenly on November 20, 2024.

Born in Scotland on February 28, 1944, she enjoyed her early years along the Clyde in Greenock with her sisters Patricia (Browne) and Sheena (Lutz). Arriving in Canada when she was still a lass, Eileen built a rich and full life in Stoneybrook, London, Ontario surrounded by family, friends and neighbours who will miss her dearly.  There she raised her family with her late husband Tommy Charles (1931 – 2020) and enjoyed many years working alongside her colleagues at the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority.  Always ready with a cup of tea and a warm smile, Eileen loved her daily walks with Linda Wolf, sharing laughs with Sandra Hislop and Lil Parkins and hosting frequent family dinners for birthdays, holidays and any other occasion.

Eileen will be greatly missed by all those who knew her including her sons David and Kenneth, daughters-in-law Danielle & Jacki, grandkids Jason, Tyler, Darci and Chelsea, her sisters Patricia (Jim 2011) and Sheena, brother-in-law Stan and many nieces, nephews and family in Canada, Scotland and Wales.

A Celebration of Life for Eileen is being planned at the Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North in London on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.Our hearts are broken and we will miss Eileen’s warm, welcoming smile, kind heart and wonderful sense of humour forever.
