At Victoria Hospital, on Monday, November 27, 2023, Elizabeth “Elma” Schmidke of London in her 88th year. Beloved wife of 65 years to Gord. Loving mother of Karen Horth (Martin), Tara Schmidke (Kevin Wilds) and Brent Schmidke (Tracy). Proud grandmother to 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Cremation and a private family interment to follow.

My condolences to Elma's family. I was sorry to hear of her passing She was a great fiend and we had good times while working at Bell.
So sorry to say good bye Elma. I will miss our visits in the driveway.
My Mom was the kindest, gentlest, and understanding woman I have ever known. She would always give me great advice and she was always there for me when I needed her the most. She was a loving mother to her children and a loving wife to my Dad. We lost a lovely soul. I will deeply miss her. She is resting now.
Dear Brent and Karen Your mother was always so kind to me throughout the years. Even though she knew I was an active participant in making her home a mess while her and Gord were out having fun those evenings at the bowling alley. From time to time I would bump into Gord and Elma at the hospital and Gord would grin at me, and jokingly make a snide remark about our days of being troublemakers back in high school and Elma would roll her eyes and smile like it was no big deal. So sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Elma. I always enjoyed the time spent visiting in the summer, in London and at the cottage. My sincere condolences and prayers are with you.
