Emily Marie Brown

On February 13, 2024, we said goodbye to our dear Emily Brown, of London, at the age of 78.
Mother, wife, daughter, sister and Nan; Emily loved her family more than anything and always ensured they were taken care of before herself. Remembered by her regulars after 30+ years at Swiss Chalet on Highbury Avenue before retiring. Emily found joy and comfort in the simple things, like peanuts in her coat pocket to feed the squirrels.
She is survived by her children Wendy (Karen), Paula (Bill) and Richard (Purita), sister Jessie, brother Bobby, and grandsons Jaime, Andrew, Benjamin, Diosdado, Ronald, and Richard.
She joins in heaven her husband Ronald, her parents, brothers and sisters, and grandsons Daniel and Cal.
After a life of kindness and unconditional love, she gets to go home, being laid to rest “down home” in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Emily was full of love. She was an amazing woman who loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. I loved her very much and send my love and prayers to all of her family. All my love Rhonda
You are my heart, so I know you will always be with me.
I cannot put in to words the loss our family is feeling. I take comfort in knowing that my Mom left a lasting impressions on others with her kindness and her love of animals. I love you and miss you so much. See you when we meet again in the universe.
I had the pleasure of working with Emily. She always made me laugh. I will always remember her fiestyness. My condolences to her family.
