At LHSC – University Hospital on Monday, August 28, 2023, with family by his side, Fred Lasenby of London, in his 85th year. Cherished husband of 64 years to Marlene (née Bloomfield) Lasenby. Beloved father of Cheryl (Brian) Fright of Muskoka and Darryl Lasenby of Edmonton. Loving Poppa to Shane (Jacqueline), Sean (Hien), Lisa (Michael), Spencer (Igor), Michael (Sam), Gregory (Breanne) and Great-Grandpa to David and August. Predeceased by brothers Jack, Stuart, and Don. Missed also by his many nieces and nephews. Fred enjoyed playing golf and euchre and thoroughly enjoyed the many friendships as a result of those activities. Thanks also to our wonderfully supportive family and neighbours for being there for us.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial reception will be held at Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Fred’s ashes will be interred in a private family service at a later date.

My deepest condolences go out to the family. A wonderful person that always had time, amazing words and a comforting smile whenever I saw him, are just a few of the memories I will have of someone that comes into one’s life ever too rarely. Thanks for the inspirational talks that I will remember for ever, Fred.
