Like many of you , our paths first crossed with Freddie’s at Slo Pitch City. After a few years in the kitchen we were able to move up in the ranks and began working side by side with Fred. He took us under his wing and always watched out for us and supported us. While working together, in the late nights of closing the bar down, Freddie taught us many valuable life lessons. Besides teaching us the proper way to make a drink - 3 fingers worth of CC whiskey and a splash of Pepsi, he taught us to see our own worth and to never settle for less than we deserved. And he taught us how to spot a true gentleman by setting the example himself. Freddie felt like a grandpa and a dear friend, so even after we stopped working together we would have annual dinners and stay in touch. Freddie never missed our birthdays or the holidays, always reaching out to wish us well. He became an extension of our families. We know that Freddie had this effect on just about everyone he met. He took care of many of us and looked out for all of us. He will live on through the dear memories we hold of him in our hearts. Rest in the sweetest peace dear Freddie, we love you.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Fred or Freddie as we affectionately called him at Slo-Pitch City. I spent alot of time out there and Freddie was always a part of it. He was a gem of a man to chat with and so laid back with a great sense of humour. Fred will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to meet him. The light is a little dimmer knowing that gentleman is no longer with us. Our deepest condolence to the family. The Bowers Family

Sending our heartfelt condolences to all of Fred’s family and friends. Fred was a great mentor through many years at CBM and could always handle things calmly ,quietly and efficiently. Since retirement we had many nice visits with him at Slow Pitch City . He would always greet us with a hug and his beaming smile. A friend to Fred is a friend for life. Hey Fred, you and my dad shared birthday’s on Aug 21st. You would always buy my dad a beer if he was out at the ball park. You were a gentle sole and you will always be remembered by everyone who knew you.💔
