Gail Lorraine Morton

November 7, 2022

Peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 7, 2022, Gail Morton in her 67th year. Survived by her daughters Heather (Craig) and Laura (Ben), as well as her grandchildren Maisy and Freddie. Deeply loved by her siblings: Tom (Sheila), Kathleen (Allen), Peggy, Rob (Kathy), Greg (Mia), Barb (Brian).

Gail overcame the odds after her cancer diagnosis a little over 6 years ago. She fought an uphill battle, but fiercely demonstrated time and time again her will to live. Prior to her diagnosis, Gail was the life of the party, and arguably one of the most caring and thoughtful people to all that knew her. She was the glue in our family. We want to thank the incredible team at Victoria Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will take place at Northview Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 2:30 p.m.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gail, are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program

To Gails girls and siblings Gail was out favourite nurse ever in a Dr's office. She laughed, cried and held our hands when needed. She was a special lady and was missed so much these past 6+ Years. We missed her smile and humor and exceptional care. Rest in peace our dear friend and nurse Gail.

My heart goes out to Gail's family. It's so sad to lose such a special person in your life. Gail was a very compassionate nurse who advocated and went the extra mile for her patients. She was a pleasure to work with back in the 80's at Victoria Hospital. Gail always brought her great sense of humor to work which made shift work so much more enjoyable for all. She is a dear friend who always spoke so lovingly about her girls and grandchildren when we were together. I miss you my friend ! 💔

We are saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. It breaks my heart because she was so special. She took care of our family/kids almost from the day our kids were born along with Dr. Tu and Cheryl. I always remember her smile and her big heart. Sending much love to a real angel

Dear Heather, Laura and families. We are so sad to hear about your Mom. Our families spent so much time together, we have such wonderful memories of those early days. All of you kids running back and forth between our homes on Brentwood, Mom and I always calling each other to see who had who. Mom was kind, had a terrific dry sense of humour, and we had many long conversations and laughs, while sipping beverages in our back yards. Our whole family sends their deepest condolences, you are all in our hearts. Debbie and Michael Andersen and family

We are so sad to hear of your mom's passing. She was so caring and thoughtful as the nurse at the doctors office and I always looked forward to seeing her and catching up. We always chatted about our kids and it was evident she was proud of both of you girls. May the wonderful times you spent together as a family help you all through this difficult time. Thinking of you .
