Peacefully with family by his side, on October 14, 2026, in his 83rd year. Beloved spouse of Linda Keenan. Loving father of Brenden Westerik, stepfather of Kara Ford (Jim), Alyssa Pharand (Scott) and Brodie Keenan (Taryn). Adored Opa of Emma and Ryan, Ryan, Logan, Kailyn, Morgan and James, Kaya and Brett.
Survived by siblings Joanne Kiers (John d), Herman Westerik (Lorita d) and Dianne Westerik, sisters-in-law Wendy Westerik and Cynthia Vandyke. Predeceased by his brother Bill Westerik. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the amazing care received at LHSC and the Cardiac Team for their continued support and care of George and the opportunity for George to participate in their research program.
Cremation has taken place. George’s life will be celebrated at Northview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Sunday, October 25, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
