Giuseppe “Joe” Bambino

January 12, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Joe at his residence in London, Ontario on January 12, 2024 at age 47.

Loving husband to Michelle Bambino for 20 years. Cherished Dad to Sam & John. Loyal son to Sam & Lina Bambino. Dear brother to Angela (James). Brother-in-law to Sharon Henderson (Derek) and loved by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Sam Bambino, and in-laws, John & Anne Beedon.

While family and friends are shocked and deeply saddened by his death, memories of Joe will forever live in our hearts. Joe loved sports, especially soccer, hockey, and football. During his earlier years he was an accomplished athlete, earning many trophies and awards. In recent years he loved watching sports on TV with his family, especially when it came to his Oilers and Broncos.

Joe was passionate about his family and enjoyed a quiet life focused on time with his wife, children and dog. Taking day trips, enjoying time at home playing games, swimming, or just finding a new job around the house were some of his favourite activities.

Joe was a welder by trade and was not just any ordinary welder, referred to as an “Artist” at work. He had a very special skill and his TIG welding was exceptional. Joe always started his day with a lollipop, a loud greeting and his favourite song “Lasagna” by Weird Al. He was admired and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He would often listen to music and suddenly start dancing in the kitchen to a random song. Funny and charismatic, Joe could always make you smile. For all that knew him, we were blessed by his unwavering, unconditional love. The world will be a sadder place without Joe’s smile. He will be forever loved and missed by many.

Sincere thanks to Middlesex-London Paramedic Services, London Police Service, and all responders for their help and compassion.

The visitation will be held at the Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m where the funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joe are asked to consider the Humane Society London and Middlesex, the Children’s Health Foundation, or the London Health Sciences Foundation.

Joe’s legacy of love and laughter will live on in our lives.

God Bless and Rest in peace.

Unfortunately for health reasons I won't be able to attend Joe's funeral. I'd like to express my deepest condolences to Joe's family. I had the pleasure of working with Joe for 7 years at Dana. Myself , Issac Ferreira and Joe were a three man gang at Dana. Many great and funny times . Joe always took jokes and pranks in stride and loved conspiring towards the next victim of a prank😆. Big heart and laid back take on life . See you on the other side Joe. Hopefully there's toilet paper so me and Issac can string you up again. Kind regards and love brother Barry Harney.

I had the pleasure of knowing Joe for over 20 years. We worked together with a great bunch of guys who all loved him. Myself, Jeff, Barry and many others were blessed to call him a friend. Without a doubt, just an all-round great man. Honest, loyal, selfless and an exemplary family man. I personally connected with Joe on day one. Talking about hockey, soccer, pulling pranks and making each other laugh was a daily occurrence. I’ll always be grateful for all the laughs. As Jeff mentioned, he just had a way about him that made you feel good. I will miss him terribly and look forward to the day I can see him again. For Michelle, the boys and the rest of the Bambino family: I offer you my deepest and sincerest condolences. Thank you for sharing this amazing person with all of us. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

~ Isaac Ferreira

What a great man. He was such a great guy. Had the pleasure to know him for over 20 years. He was a great father and husband. We worked together for years. Joe Isaac and myself. Carpooled together everyday and laughed all the time. He was full of laughter and joy. Never a dull moment when you talked with Joe. He had a way about him that made you feel good. His presence was always something that made you smile. He had this Loud deep voice when he would belt out CUPS!!! You could hear it from across the street. The Bambino family made an impact in my life personally as they were there to support me through my difficult times. I will never forget Joe and Michelle giving me words of wisdom. Thank you for the many years of friendship. You will be missed.

I am so devastated by the passing of Joe. I had the great pleasure of teaching him at JPII. Just as he brought joy and laughter to his family, he did the same for us in the classroom. I will miss his incredible spirit and kindness. My wife and I grieve for and with Joe’s family. May his memory be a blessing to you always. Our deepest condolences.
