Peacefully with family by her side, at Chartwell London, on Saturday, April 16, 2022, Grace Holmes, formerly of Parkhill and Blenheim, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Doug Holmes (2014) for 63 years. Loving mother of Linda Keenan (George Westerik), John Holmes, and Cindy Van Dyke (the late Stewart, 2018). Adored Grandma of Kara, Alyssa, Brodie, Melanie, Amy, Becky, Jeremy, Bradley, Aren, and Lukas. Also loved by her 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Sidney Rudman. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Northview Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Grace are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.

I want to express my sincere sympathy to all of the family. Losing Grace is a sad time for everyone. Grace was a vibrant and cheerful member of the communities that she lived in and we are all better for having known her. She has fought many difficult times in her life and now she is with her beloved Doug.
Thinking of all of you at this very sad time in your lives. Praying for peace and comfort for the coming days. She was a wonderful Aunt to all of us.

When ever I smell lilacs I think of Grace. When the purple lilacs were in bloom at the side of their house she would always bring me a fresh bouquet. I was Grace’s and Doug’s hairdresser for many years. My kids would always say hi to them and chat a bit with them both on their way home from school if they were outside or sitting in the porch. Thinking of your family in this sad time. May your memories bring you comfort.
