Harvey Riley

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Harvey Riley on January 25, 2026. He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Riley (Roesner).

He is survived by his daughters Julie (Stevan Fazekas) and Lisa (Stu Poderys); grandchildren Gosh, Jakob, and Charlotte; many nieces and nephews with a special mention to Sherri, Rebecca, Jessica, and Jenn.

Harvey was born on October 31, 1950, to Archie and Viola Riley and was raised on the family farm near Clinton, Ontario. He was the brother to Shirley, Dave (predeceased 2024) (Joan, predeceased 2024), Clayton (predeceased, 2020) (Dawn), Nancy (Doug), and Steve (Stella, predeceased 2025). Known as Harv, he was a friend and mentor to many in his community.

Harv worked at Timken and lived in St. Thomas for much of his life but was most at home on, in or under trucks, cars or, on his snowmobile finding the ‘mint’ trails. He will be deeply missed by his Andrews Sports family.

Memorial donations may be made to the local Humane Society or an animal rescue. The family thanks the staff of the Cardiac Care Unit at University Hospital for their care.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 28, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, 42703 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas, Ontario.
