Heidi Smith (née Schroeder)
November 15, 2025
Heidi passed away at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in her 83rd year with loving family by her side. Cherished mom of Brendan Smith (Dana) and Annette Medway (Marlon). Adored Grandma of Cydney, Taylor, Emma, Ryerson, Musa, Yasmin, Abby and Alfie. And, one precious great-grandson Zayn. Predeceased by the love of her life Elton Nantais, who passed earlier this year.
Heidi was a teacher with the TVDSB for many years and enjoyed her time working at People’s/Mappin’s Jewellers during retirement. The Gateway Casino in London loved Heidi and Elton, almost as much as they enjoyed their time there! She was a die-hard Leafs fan and got to go to her first Leafs game this past year. She loved to cheer on her grandchildren at the rink or the soccer field. She will be greatly missed by many friends, neighbours and former colleagues.
Cremation has taken place. Please join us in Celebrating Heidi’s Life at the Spencer Leadership Centre – Garden Room, 551 Windemere Road, London on Friday, November 28th anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance being shared at 2:30 p.m. for anyone wanting to stay and share in the memories. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Children’s Health Foundation.
Forever in our hearts. Go Leafs Go!
