Janine Sarchielli (née Moloney)
June 17, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Janine Sarchielli (née Moloney), age 63, of London, Ontario, on June 17, 2026, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Janine was born on October 3, 1962, in Edmonton, Alberta, to her beloved parents, Doreen Patricia “Pat” Moloney (née Tye) and Bernard “Bernie” Moloney. She spent her childhood in Bright’s Grove and Petrolia, Ontario, before later making London, Ontario, her home.
In 1984, Janine married her best friend, Vincent Sarchielli. Together they built a loving family and raised two children, Rachel Sarchielli (Matthew) and Chris Sarchielli (Laura).
Janine embraced life fully and found joy in hosting gatherings for family, friends, and neighbours, travelling throughout Europe, and taking long walks. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Beatrice and Harrison, who brought immense happiness to her life.
Janine will be remembered for her remarkable strength, her warmth and ability to make others feel valued, and her enduring zest for life. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Leslie Chekan (Richard) and Michael Moloney (Kim), as well as by her extended family and many dear friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.
A celebration of Janine’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Northview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, located at 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre or St. Joseph’s Hospice of London in Janine’s memory.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Parkwood Institute of St. Joseph’s Healthcare London, and the Oncology team of London Health Sciences Centre.
Janine’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

MAY GOD HOLD HER IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND. RIP
I worked with Janine at Sofa Gallery several years ago. Her laugh and her positive outlook on life were contagious. My thoughts go out to Vince and family, she will be missed.
My thoughts and sympathy goes out to Vince and their lovely family. Janine was an absolute inspiration to all that knew her. Her courage, will power and determination was relentless. I was fortunate to have spent an amazing time with Janine and Rachel in Ireland and my memory of that will last forever. A special person who loved life and a dear cousin. XX
My sincerest condolences for your loss.

Janine was my Cousin, her Mom was my Dad's Sister. We are her Family from England and we loved her so much!! The last time me and my Mom (her Aunty Maureen) saw her was 2009 we made a sudden suprise visit to see her Mom and Dad. They took us to visit Janine, she made us so welcome and she hadn't been well but her Zest for Life, her Beauty inside and out shone through !! We will Miss you Janine, we may not have visited as often as we would have liked but as usual life gets in the way!! We'll never Forget you and you'll always be in our thoughts xx Lot's of love from Jackie, Martin, Maureen, Steve and the family xxx
I am so sad to hear of Janines passing. I worked with her for many years at Austin and Taylor Furniture. We always shared so many laughs together. I am not sure I ever saw Janine in an off mood. She always had a smile on her face and could make you laugh, even if you were feeling a bit down. Another one of Janines attributes was her strong will for beating the odds. She battled illness for many years but you would never know it with her strong positive attitude. She also loved every animal created and felt it was the right thing to do to save them, if it was a mouse, an ant, a bee, a spider, a fly or even a mosquito. She would try to catch them and release them outside. She felt that every living creature should be saved. I joked that if a skunk got into the store, she would try to catch it and release it outside. I will miss her dearly. Her passing will leave a huge hole that will not be able to be replaced. I know that she is laughing and joking with family and friends that have gone before her and Vince and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers for comfort and strength in the coming days and weeks and months.
We are so sorry to read of Janine’s passing. Such a beautiful, kind, loving woman who always brought joy to the conversation. We know that you Vince and your family must be truly devastated by this loss. But we also know how blessed you were to have her in your life all these years beyond that first battle. Janine’s attitude was always so amazing when we crossed paths. It’s crazy how time slips away. And now we mourn the loss of such a beautiful person. Corienne and I wish you and your family well
I was very sad to hear of Janine's passing. I have many fond memories of us working at Birks. We also shared many wonderful lunches at each other's homes over some great conversation. Anyone you had Janine as a friend was truly blessed. She was always very energetic and inspirational. My deepest condolences to Vince and family.

Dear Vince, I thought of you last summer when my husband and I drove through Watford. I believe that you told me you worked at a vehicle dealership there years ago. I was your Dental Hygienist many years ago at Dr Nordine’s office in London. Both Dr. Nordine and I thought you were a great young man. Dr. Nordine is gone and I moved from London over twenty years ago. Looking for another death notice, I saw the Obituary of your beautiful wife. I am so sad that you and your family have suffered this terrible loss. I hesitated to intrude at this time but I wanted you to know that you are still on my list of “special patients” all these years later. Blessings to you and your family. Sincerely, Dawn Cumming.
