My condolences to Joanne on the loss of her husband. Luckily through social media we have been able to keep in touch with Adrienne in particular. All the best to all who knew you all. Cousin Penny.
Oh my this is so sad! I loved our friendship back in our A&P heydays. We once went for a hike at the Elora Gorge and he was determined to break my habit of saying ‘eh’. He was successful! Great guy, funny guy ( he was doing Dad jokes long before he was a Dad ) and a genuine man. He will be missed.
I worked John for many years at A&P / Metro John was funny & kind We had many great conversations May your many beautiful memories bring you both comfort & joy
Condolences to the family during this difficult time. I worked with John at Byron A&P and shared many wonderful memories. RIP John ,
In the short time I was given to know him, John was always funny, curious, and bright. We would swap cooking tips and ideas, and he never hesitated to make me feel welcome in this family. It is a privilege to have known him, and a delight to have shared a laugh with him when we could.

John had a gift for making people laugh, even on the dullest days. His humor was never forced—it came from a genuine joy in connecting with others. He was loved by everyone who had the good fortune to know him. I’ll always remember his warmth, his curiosity, and the way he could turn a simple moment into something memorable. It’s hard to imagine he’s gone. My heart goes out to Joanne and the family. May the kindness and laughter he shared live on in all who knew him.
