We have missed seeing Judy for her weekly hair appointments. Her laughter would fill the salon with warmth. She was always so interested in all of our lives, asking how our kids or parents were. Also quick to share the successes of her grandchildren which she was so proud of. We at SmartStyle will miss her udates and laughter. Our thoughts are with her family

I was sad to learn that Judy passed. Judy was a wonderful person with such a big heart and big smile. I always enjoyed our chats and catching up with her. My thoughts are with all of Judy's family at this time. Sincerely, Michelle Scott

As a grade six teacher in East York, it was my delight and privilege to go to Sheldon several times with my classes. One memorable time, I was there for Christmas week! Judy was the heart of the kitchen ... which really means the heart of the experience. The entire Sheldon week was so wonderful for my students, many of whom had never before been away from their parents overnight. They cried on the bus as we drove north and cried even harder as we pulled out of the Sheldon driveway on the way back to East York. Judy had such joy in working with the students. And that Christmas Feast was an extravaganza indeed! I count myself as one of the folks who were enriched through working with her. Her memory will certainly be a blessing to many! May she rest in peace.

Judy and I began work on the same day at Sheldon Centre for Outdoor Education in 1976. She became a lifelong friend, confidante, advisor and so much more. She poured her heart and soul into the thousands of students who attended from East York, especially those who needed a little extra attention. She was creative, fun-loving, and practical. My condolences to Heather, John and your families. Joan Medina

Judy was a wonderful person — a true force of the world! We worked closely together at Sheldon for over twenty years. Her strength of character, her creativity, and above all, her caring for others shone as a beacon for the rest of us. Our sympathies for your loss!

Will miss Aunt Judy. Always the one to put a hand into everything. I will always remember the days spent at her home. The first time I had a fresh egg from a chicken was by Aunt Judy’s side and her encouragement. Lots of love from the Brenders Family (Jess, Felix, and Bram).

~ Kyle Brenders

Aunt Judy taught me how to be an Aunt ... I am forever grateful for my cherished memories.

Judy was a flagship for my childhood development as she was for many of young people in her work. She instilled joy and work ethic in everyone she connected with in her life’s journey. I will cherish these memories for a lifetime especially at Christmas time. Thank you Judy

There isn’t enough space for all my memories. We shall forever miss Aunt Judy. The hole she leaves in our family can never be filled because she truly was the best sister, mother, aunt, grandma and friend.

Many were blessed to have been Judy's friend. Our memories are endless and treasured. Our family first met Judy when fighting the South Simcoe dump, making presentations at councils, stuffing envelopes and organizing the fight. She had a knack for rallying the troops, gaining support and organizing a crowd. Always with a twinkle in her eye and a laugh ready to burst. Judy's skills stopped the dump and our community is eternally gratefully for that. Memories in the kitchen, Judy could feed 100 with the same ease as 4, her lemon meringue pies were always picture perfect and delicious. But most of all her dedication to her family and the community provided a shining example to the many lives she touched. Thinking of you all at this difficult time and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

The heavens will be much brighter now that you have gone to join the angels. But here on earth we will all miss your smile and sense of humor. RIP Aunt Judy
