I had the sincere pleasure of working with Karol for several years on the Adult Oncology Unit and I will always remember Karol for her confidence, caring, kindness, and humour that she so generously shared with the team and with her patients. My sympathy and deepest condolences go to Bill, to Karol's family and to her family of friends from Level 7, Tower 2 Adult Oncology.

I worked with Karol for many years as a pharmacist on Level 7 Tower 2. Her quick laugh, genuine warmth, quirky sense of humour, easy going manner, practicality, efficiency, calmness, kindness, wisdom and decades of experience made every day I worked with her a happy one, no matter how stressful our shifts got. She was larger than life, her presence lit up every room she walked into, with joy, peace and comfort. I will forever be able to see her smile and hear her voice because Karol was such a unique and cherished part of my work family. I am so so sorry for her loss, especially for you Bill, of whom she spoke so often. I will miss her so very much. 💔😢

I worked with Karol for several years on L7T2. In nursing, so much of the quality of your day depends on who you’re working with and whenever I saw Karol was on my wing I’d think “we’re gonna have a good day”. Smart, caring nurse. Always a straight shooter, unflappable and a great sense of humour. I always enjoyed working with her. My very deepest condolences to Bill and the whole family. How bereft you must be!
