Kim Laverne Colfax

July 19, 1957 - December 20, 2020

COLFAX, Kim Laverne – It is with broken hearts that the family of Kim Colfax announce his sudden passing after a brief illness on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the age of 63. Loving husband and best friend of Pamela Colfax (Waller) and cherished and devoted father of Allison, Heather (2009), and Brooke. Beloved son of the late Laverne and Laura Colfax. Brother of Terry (Julie) Colfax, Kathy Proulx (Guy), and Ted (Tracy) Colfax. Son-in-law of Lynn Waller and the late Elaine Waller. Brother-in-law of Karen (Dale) Nethercott and Jeff (Linda) Waller.

Kim was a hard-working man who never complained and didn’t ask anything of anyone but would help anyone in need. Kim started off working on several farms and from there he found his true passion in trucking. He hauled everything; cattle, steel, food, grain and gravel, and for many years, heavy equipment. Kim had a few passions in life: He was a huge NASCAR fan, always rooting for Tony Stewart and he loved to work on machines and could diagnose and fix any engine just by listening to it. But his greatest passion was for his family. He was a devoted husband and much-adored father to his beautiful daughters. Kim will be forever missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place. Kim’s ashes will be privately interred at St. John’s Cemetery in Arva, ON on Saturday, August 28, 2021, and a private celebration of life to follow.

I will miss my brother so much even though we fought like a bugger when we were kids. But we grew up and became good friends. Love you Kim
