Lily Vallance (née Poitras)

It is with profound sadness, but deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Lily Vallance (née Poitras) surrounded by her loving family on May 20, 2026.

Lily was a passionate, intuitive, feisty, and fiercely loyal woman. She possessed a wonderful sarcastic wit and a clever mind, and left a trail of joy and love wherever she went.

She loved spending her free time immersed in nature, finding deep peace near the water. Lily loved reading, baking, and spending time with her family. Motherhood was her greatest accomplishment, and she loved and supported her children unconditionally throughout her life.

She is reunited in the next world with her loving parents, Roland and Lorraine Poitras.

Lily leaves behind her husband and soulmate, Brian, and her cherished children, Jamie (John) and Cooper, as well as her four-legged family member, KC. She is also survived by her sister, Mona Blair (John), and will be deeply missed by her best friend, Fay Roi. Lily taught us that the ones who love us never really leave us. While our world feels a little less bright without her, her spirit remains with us, always.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Lily’s medical team, as well as the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for the compassionate care she received.

Those wishing to make a donation in Lily’s memory are asked to consider SCAAR (Second Chance Rescue) London to honour her love for animals, or St. Joseph’s Hospice for the incredible comfort they provided.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She lived fully, loved fiercely, and left the world a far better place than she found it.
