Marc Joseph Liguori Marcil
April 20, 2025
Peacefully, with his family by his side, at LHSC University Hospital on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, Marc Marcil passed away at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of the late Beverly Marcil (2025). Married for 64 years, Marc’s love for Beverly was unwavering a quiet, lifelong devotion that stood as the foundation of their world. Their bond was of deep affection and enduring friendship and now, they are together again.
Loving father of Curtis Marcil (Christine), Kim Patrick (Mark) and David Marcil (Darlene).
Marc was a private pilot with a lifelong passion for aviation. He proudly built his own plane and attended the Oshkosh EAA AirVenture annually. Flying brought him joy, purpose, and a sense of freedom.
Together, Marc and Beverly shared a love for travel. From tropical beaches to faraway cities. Hawaii held a special place in their hearts, as did the ocean, the sun, and the beauty of time spent together.
Marc will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. A skilled millwright and foreman for the automotive industry, he was known for fixing “just about anything,” always offering a helping hand with humility and grace.
Marc leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. Marc will be missed dearly by his grandchildren Victoria, Liam, Blake, Carly, Jenna, Nathan, and Jalen and his great grandchildren Lucy, Ava, and Nash.

To Kim, Curtis & David, We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Marc and the passing of Bev within a few weeks. Both Marc & Bev were wonderful neighbours and they will be greatly missed. Marc maintained his gardens and home with pride. Marc was a voracious reader , you could see Marc reading his books in the sunroom, on the back deck and on his front porch.
