Martha Darlene Stott

August 28, 1959 - October 1, 2020

STOTT, Martha “Darlene” (nee Miller)

Passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, Ontario on October 1, 2020 with her brother Steve (or as she liked to call him, “T”) at her side. Darlene was predeceased by her father, James Everett Loane Miller of Dalhousie, New Brunswick (December 19, 2006), and her mother, Elizabeth White Low of St. Thomas, Ontario (March 25, 1972). Darlene is survived by 3 nephews: Shane of British Columbia, and Jared and Sean of Tillsonburg, Ontario. Also survived by many cousins in the London, Ontario area and New Brunswick. She was a valued member of Eckankar Canada and believed that there is an audible life current known as ECK or Holy Spirit that connects each of us with God. She loved her work and all those with whom she worked. In writing her obituary, I am reminded of some lyrics from a song by Cat Stevens which I think sums up her belief: “Now there’s a way and I know that I have to go away, I know I have to go.” Cremation has taken place and no service or visitation will be held. There will perhaps be a Celebration of Life at a later date. If you are interested, please leave your email on the Tribute Wall. Many thanks and great appreciation to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice. www.sjhospicelondon.com

To my ECK friend, we shared spiritual wisdom and about our mutual ECK experiences. You got your Angel wings (in ECK, we sometimes call them eagle wings) and you have earned your right to soar like an eagle in the Astral and many spiritual planes beyond them. Wash-zee is with you my friend. To your family and loved ones, we are sorry for your loss of Darlene’s earthly presence. Our deepest sympathy and condolences. She has earned her wings and now soars among many souls. May the blessings be. Baraka Bashad.

To my little sister "Leenie", we did not always see eye to eye but it never stopped the love we felt for each other or the respect we had for one another. I was so proud of you, the devotion to your work, your desire to help people and your quest for knowledge. You are missed little sister. I am happy that you are no longer suffering and hope your journey will be everything you believed. You were not supposed to go before me.

Darlene, I will really miss working with you and chatting with you in the office. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you over the past few years and just wish we had more time together. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. God Bless.
