It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Michael (Mike) Gibson on December 7, 2023 in his 62nd year peacefully at Victoria Hospital. Mike was the loving husband of Anne Gibson. He is predeceased by his father, Ken Gibson, and his mother Mina Gibson. Loving brother of Caroline Cobban, Joan Gibson, John Gibson (Sally), James and Victoria Gibson. Loving stepfather to Mark Fonti (Stacey) and Joanne Foster (Mike). Cherished papa of Tyler, Nicholas, DJ, and Carly. Mike is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Mike was a long-time employee of FBM and was an avid sports fan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. from Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In honour of Mike, the family ask that you please wear one of your favourite sports jerseys.

Uncle Mike, you always welcomed me and the kids into your house with a smile & laugh, I will keep those memories close and cherish them always. You will be very missed.
Uncle Mike, you will be dearly missed. Watching you interact with my children has been a join. I will always remember how you hid eggs on Easter for Theo, the first time you held Chloe, our last conversation and most of all our visits. The memories I have of you I will cherish and make sure the kids know how much you enjoyed seeing them. Love you so much.
You will be missed, and remembered... strong, stubborn, fiercely loyal, with an inner warmth and tenderness. That cheeky grin and chuckle of yours as well as the joyful way you engaged with all of the children in your life, are the memories I hold most dear. Rest in peace Uncle Mike... but also keep Goose on her toes up there!
Mike you fought a long hard battle and never give up you keep going right up to the very end. You ware a wonderful husband to my mother and for that I will be forever grateful. But most of all you ware the best papa to my children Tyler & Carly so many memories my children have with you and the laughs. Mike for myself you were always there for me no matter what time day or night phone calls the list goes on and I’m so very grateful for all of it love you Mike (Gibby) my you R.I.P
