Michele “Mike” Varallo
May 2, 2026
Passed peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, on May 2, 2026, with family by his side. Predeceased by his dear wife of 48 years, Rosemarie (2024). Loving father of three sons Vincenzo “Vince” (Samantha), Anthony (Cristina), and Pasqualino “Pat” (Carla). Beloved Nonno to Serena, Mya, Makayla, Michele and Lucy. Loving brother of Immacolata, Joe (Cathy), Gerald (Linda), and Alex (Ann). Mike will be deeply missed by his extended family in Canada, Italy and the United States, as well as by all his “friends like family” and his nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Vincenzo and Esternia Varallo, parents-in-law Pasqualino and Carolina Mastrangelo.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Mike spent thirty-five years as the proud owner of Northland Barber Shop, where he built lasting relationships with his clients and became a valued part of the community. He truly loved his work, not just for the craft, but for the people he connected with each day.
Outside of the shop, he found great joy on the golf course, especially when playing with his brothers and spending time with his family. Some of his happiest moments were at home, carrying on family traditions—making cheese, sausage, and capocollo together. These moments were filled with laughter, pride, and a deep sense of togetherness that will be cherished forever.
Above all, he was a devoted family man. His love, guidance, and strong work ethic have left a lasting impact on all of us.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Northview Funeral Home, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s Parish, 345 Lyle Street, London on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery and Holy Family Mausoleum.
The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Southbridge Nursing Home and Victoria Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to our father. We would also like to offer a special thank you to his brother Gerry and his daughter-in-law Cristina for their unwavering support, as well as for the care and attention they provided in ensuring he made it to his appointments and was always looked after with love.
