Murray was my first cousin; my late father and his late mother were siblings. Although we grew up many miles away, I have fond memories of him, even though he was often away playing hockey during some visits. As adults we saw each other sometimes and the last time was when he was playing in Stratford, ON a few years back. He shared a musical kinship with my late brother John and shared information and music via Facebook. Some people remarked that Murray and I looked kind of like brother and sister, and we both were ok with that. I am sad that he is gone so soon, but he sure shared his music with so many folks over the years. That will live on forever. RIP Murray. My condolences to Denise and the rest of his family and friends. Barbara (McGuirk) Gray

Murray was a fellow entertainer on the Ontario pub circuit, and we'd catch the end or beginning of each other's sets sometines, or help each other in or out with gear between shows. He was a dedicated pro and a caring individual, one with real talent and drive. My sincere condolences to Murray's family, friends and fans. He'll be missed by all.
