Paul David Ladouceur
Paul David, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 29th, 2025. He was born in Chatham, August 21, 1943. Son of the late René and Rose Marie Ladouceur. Devoted husband of Lina (Fillion) Ladouceur, with whom he shared twenty-nine wonderful years of marriage.
Loving father of Monique Ladouceur, Nicole Ladouceur, and Renée (Derek) Suitor. He was a proud and caring Papa to Dina Ladouceur, Camryn & Brady McDougall, Darian Suitor, and Victoria (Mike) Whiting. Great-grandfather to Karlee and Maddison Whiting. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Ray Fillion. Paul’s memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his sister, Annette (Tom) Konarski, whose memory he always held close to his heart and his cherished fur babies Tiger, Sheena, Dawson, and Bam Bam.
A true dog lover, he found great joy in the companionship of his pets and cherished their presence throughout his life. In addition to his love for animals, Paul enjoyed working on cars, spending countless hours immersed in his passion for automotive projects and sharing his skills with family and friends.
Paul David was an accomplished industrial engineer with extensive management experience at several organizations, including National Hardware (Dresden, ON), Rockwell (Chatham, ON), Eaton Yale (Chatham and Wallaceburg, ON), Edscha (Niagara Falls, ON), and Jamesway (Kitchener, ON). Following his retirement, he pursued lifelong learning and became a certified life coach, leveraging his considerable expertise to support others in achieving their goals.
Paul David served as a hockey coach in the Chatham Minor Hockey Association from 1974 to 1986, dedicating over a decade to youth sports. During this period, he attained Level III coaching certification and received official recognition from the City of Chatham for his contributions as a coach.
Paul David’s life was marked by his unwavering love for his family, his kindness, and his generosity. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of McCormick Group Care in London for providing Paul David with exemplary care and treating him with the utmost dignity.
Cremation has already taken place and there will be no visitation as per Paul David’s request.
Donations made in memory of Paul David to the McCormick Care Foundation (Advancing Excellence in Dementia Care) or the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners would be appreciated by the family.
