Peter Steven Landon

January 18, 1940 - September 22, 2020

LANDON, Peter Steven – Peacefully on September 22, 2020, in his 81st year, Peter Steven Landon. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Landon (2011). Cherished brother to Andrew Ludziejewski (Dominica) and dearest brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle to several relatives in London, Toronto and across Canada. He will be most dearly missed by niece Theresa (Wayne), niece Monica (Christopher) and nephew Gregory (Jen), who grew up with him on Applewood Lane. During this time of loss, we are all comforted by his true devotion to his faith in Jesus and his trust in the Divine Mercy. Born in Poznan, Poland in 1940 during the war, Peter left for Canada with his mother and brother in 1950, where he started a new life. Peter was always full of joy and made all of us laugh with his quick wit and great sense of humour, even to the end. Thank you to the staff at Mount Hope Centre for Long-Term Care for taking such good care of Peter over the last four years. Visitors will be received at NORTHVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Registration is required to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass. For information on how to register please click on the RSVP link on the left.

Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to St. John the Divine Parish in memory of Peter would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Peter was an amazing friend and mentor. When we were young, he and Rosemary would pack the back seat of his car full of Brunka kids and drive to Stony Creek for real ice cream. Other adventures included the Buklis farm near Primrose, where we learned how to properly handle a .22 rifle. Later he bought his dream machine, that beautiful Ford Thunderbird. Living in London, with Rosemary he effectively ran a Bed and Breakfast for all the visitors constantly passing through. Always smiling, always patient and courteous, he was a true Christian and gentleman. Requiescat in Pacem Christina and Victor Brunka

In loving memory of Peter Landon. Love, Nina and Ed
