Ronnie MacDonald

Suddenly on May 25, 2025, Ronnie MacDonald passed away at the age of 73. Ronnie is now together again with his dear wife Doreen Morris who he lost in 2023. Loved stepfather to Mike (Shelly) Morris and Michelle (Dan) Morris-Dallaire. Cherished grandfather to Brittany, Sarah and the late baby Bradley Hughes (2000) and Daniel and Abbigale Morris. Survived by his siblings Heather (Bob) Rowell, Michael MacDonald, and Dena MacDonald. Uncle to Jeffrey Rowell and his son Jasper, and Christina Rowell and her daughter Ivy. Brother-in-law to Jim (Cheryl) Forster, Bruce (Cathy) Forster, Tom Caldwell and Beth Kirby. Predeceased by his parents John and Renie and by his brother-in-law Richard Forster and sister-in-law Susan Forster. Fondly remembered by many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ronnie was a dedicated member of the Canadian Armed Forces, beginning his career in his later teen years.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Ronnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to Meals on Wheels London would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank-you to the paramedics and hospital staff of the emergency department of University Hospital for the care given to Ronnie and his family.
