Shiue Speedie

November 15, 1943 - July 12, 2021

It is with great sadness, that the family of Shiue Speedie announces her peaceful passing, surrounded by her loving family, at her home, in her 78th year, on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Shiue leaves behind her adoring and most cherished husband, Douglas. Much loved mother of Christine (Brett), Scott (Sheila), Dave (Cindy), and KC (Brad). Most cherished grandmother of Chase, Emma, Tyler (Adrianne), and Olivia. Dear sister of Wayne, Snow, and Shalin (Karl). Shiue is predeceased by her mother and father, Deng Lin and Lian-Ping Lin.

At Shiue’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering has been held in celebration of her life.

Shiue’s family deeply appreciates the special care and kindness of the nurses, support workers, and doctors at the London Regional Cancer Program, and in particular Dr. Winquest, Lynn Vanhie, Dr. Kevin Fung, Shamim Mortuza (Notch 101), and Dr. Yu Li. Special thanks to the caring staff in the chemo and therapy departments, blood bank, and receptionists, who all together helped Shiue and her family through these very difficult days.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program. To leave an online condolence or make a donation, please click the links to the left of the obituary.

Doug , We are very sorry for loss, of your beloved wife Shiue. She was shinning loving and beautiful soul. The love you two shared radiated , especially when you were walking out and about holding hands. It was a pleasure to speaking with Shiue over the years as we shared stories of our cancer journey. How she walked this unique journey was an inspiration to me and many. She will be deeply missed. Please let us know if you need anything. - Love and light, Cheryl Jordan and Jesse Stewart
