Thelma Curtin

May 16, 1933 - January 1, 2022

Passed peacefully on January 1, 2022 in her 89th year, Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Bertram Charles Curtin (1999).  She is survived by her loving daughter Janice and son-in-law Jason Hladyniuk, her adored grandchildren Julia, Megan, Ryan and Preston, and her brother William Pleydon (Gwen), many adored nieces, nephews, and friends.  Thelma was the sister-in-law to Leo, Lorne, Vince, Eddie, Don, Carmel, and Noreen.  Predeceased by her parents Minnie (Schuyler) and William Pleydon, and sister Margaret LaRocque (Gerald).  Thelma was born and raised in London and made this her home.  Putting family first, she dedicated herself to raising a family, always being there for her husband, daughter and grandchildren.  She put others before herself, helped anyone in need and always loved a good laugh.  We will fondly remember her kind generosity.  Thelma’s home was always open for visitors, guests were welcomed with open arms.  She will be so dearly missed.  The love she taught us will be passed on and never forgotten. Heaven was most definitely shining brightly on New Year’s Day. A private graveside ceremony will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.  Many thanks to our family and friends for your love and support.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Thelma are asked to consider any dementia society or a charity of your choice
