Yun Lim
August 2, 1928 - April 10, 2023
Passed peacefully at the LHSC – University Hospital on Monday, April 10, 2023, in her 95th year. Survived by her daughters Chou Thong (Sokun Thong), Sotheavy Hang, and son Try Te; her grandchildren Vivien Pauchet, Mardy Thong, Valérie Pauchet, Sokunthear Sieng, Hélène Pauchet, Martin Pauchet, David Thong (Donna Le), Sokmei Te, and Soktee Te; and great-grandchildren Alice Walden and Ethan Li. Her passions in life were sewing, cooking, travelling, and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her leisurely passions included actively watching Wheel of Fortune, hours spent circling words in word searches, or enjoying an ice cream bar while soaking in the warm rays of the sun.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Northview Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Yun Lim are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Centre, as the healthcare staff remained key supporters in the maintenance of her health, and longevity of her life. She was always grateful for the kindness and compassion the teams showed when in their care with special mention to be made to the dialysis unit, and internal medicine unit, thank you from the bottom of her heart.
